Croagh Patrick Virtual Reality Experience

These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the Croagh Patrick Virtual Reality Experience. By booking, registering, purchasing a ticket, or participating in the experience, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, you should not participate in the experience.


1. Eligibility and Age Requirements

Participation in the Croagh Patrick Virtual Reality Experience is restricted to individuals aged 8 years and above.

Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must accept these Terms & Conditions on their behalf and assume responsibility for the participant during the experience.

The operator reserves the right to request proof of age where necessary.


2. Nature of the Experience

The Croagh Patrick Virtual Reality Experience uses virtual reality (VR) technology and immersive equipment, including VR headsets and interactive systems.

Participants may be required to:

  • Wear a VR headset

  • Stand or move within a designated play area

  • Turn, walk, or adjust body position during the experience

While the experience is designed with safety in mind, virtual reality environments may cause sensations such as:

  • Dizziness

  • Motion sickness

  • Disorientation

  • Nausea

  • Eye strain

  • Fatigue

  • Temporary loss of balance

Participants should remain aware of their surroundings and follow all staff instructions at all times. If you suffer any of the above sensations you must immediately stop, raise a hand and he/she will be helped by a member of staff.



3. Health and Safety Restrictions

For safety reasons, individuals should not participate in the experience if they have any of the following conditions:

  • Epilepsy or seizure disorders (including photosensitive epilepsy)

  • Serious heart conditions

  • Severe balance or vertigo disorders

  • Recent surgery or significant injury

  • Any medical condition that could be aggravated by virtual reality experiences

Participants must not participate while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair balance, awareness, or judgment.


Participants who experience dizziness, nausea, anxiety, or discomfort during the experience must immediately stop, raise a hand and he/she will be helped by a member of staff.


4. Medical Disclosure

Participants are responsible for disclosing any relevant medical conditions that may affect their ability to safely take part in the experience.

If a participant has concerns about their physical condition, they should consult a medical professional before participating.

Failure to disclose a relevant medical condition may increase the risk of injury or discomfort during the experience.


5. Assumption of Risk

By participating in the Croagh Patrick Virtual Reality Experience, participants acknowledge that virtual reality experiences involve inherent risks, including but not limited to dizziness, loss of balance, motion sickness, or accidental contact within the play area.

Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with their participation in the experience, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.


6. Participant Responsibilities

All participants must:

  • Follow instructions provided by staff at all times

  • Remain within the designated play area

  • Use equipment only as instructed

  • Behave responsibly and safely

  • Respect other participants and staff

Failure to follow safety instructions or behave responsibly may result in immediate termination of the experience without refund.


7. Personal Belongings

Participants are responsible for their personal belongings at all times.

Phones, bags, and other valuables must be kept with the participant during the experience.

The operator does not provide storage facilities and accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal items.


8. Equipment Use

All VR equipment, headsets, controllers, and accessories remain the property of the operator.

Participants must handle equipment with care and follow all instructions regarding its use.

Participants may be held responsible for damage caused through deliberate misuse, negligence, or reckless behaviour.


9. Tickets, Bookings and Payments

Tickets may be purchased online, onsite, or through authorised partners, subject to availability.

Participants must arrive at the designated time for their experience.

Late arrivals may result in reduced experience time or cancellation without refund, depending on operational constraints.

Prices and schedules may change at the discretion of the operator.


10. Cancellations and Refunds

Refund and cancellation policies may vary depending on the booking method.

The operator reserves the right to cancel or reschedule experiences due to:

  • Technical issues

  • Safety concerns

  • Operational requirements

  • Circumstances beyond reasonable control

Where possible, affected participants may be offered rescheduling or alternative arrangements.


11. Photography and Media

Photography or video recording may occur within the venue for promotional or marketing purposes.

Participants may appear in general venue photography or video recordings.

Participants who do not wish to appear in such material should notify staff in advance.


12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Irish law, the operator, its employees, contractors, and partners shall not be liable for injury, loss, or damage resulting from:

  • Failure to follow staff instructions or safety guidelines

  • Reckless or negligent behaviour by participants

  • Medical conditions not disclosed prior to participation

  • Loss or damage to personal belongings

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it cannot be excluded under Irish consumer protection or safety legislation.


13. Right to Refuse or Terminate Participation

The operator reserves the right to refuse entry or terminate participation where:

  • Safety instructions are not followed

  • A participant appears unfit to safely take part

  • Behaviour is disruptive, dangerous, or inappropriate

  • A participant is under the influence of alcohol or drugs

In such cases, no refund may be provided.


14. Data Protection and Privacy

Personal information collected during registration or booking may be used for:

  • Managing bookings and participation

  • Safety and operational purposes

  • Customer communication

All personal data is processed in accordance with applicable Irish and EU data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).


15. Changes to Terms

The operator reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Updated terms will be published on the official website and will apply to future bookings and participation.


16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.

Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.


17. Acceptance of Terms

By booking, registering, purchasing a ticket, or participating in the Croagh Patrick Virtual Reality Experience, visitors confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
